KS3 English covers a broad range of skills enabling students to effectively communicate in the classroom and in the outside world. As well as reading for meaning and writing for specific audiences and purposes, we actively encourage our students to read and write for pleasure. Students will also learn how language can be used to inform, persuade, argue, advise or, in the case of literature, to help us understand the human condition and the world around us. Our aim is to foster curiosity and a love of learning through challenging texts, organised debates, poetry and plays.
