Experience being part of the SGS community at a fun-filled taster day.
The following information applies to students who attend out-of-area primary schools. In-area primary schools have already been contacted. If your child attends an in-area primary and you have not yet received a letter about Year 5 taster days please contact the Rock Road office (Storrington) on 01903 74488 or The Towers office (Upper Beeding) on 01903 946880.
Steyning Grammar School would like to invite your Year 5 child to participate in a taster day at one of our KS3 sites. The aim of the day is to introduce your child to our school community, meet the Head of Year and experience a fun filled morning.
The available dates are:
Friday 1st May 2026 10am to 1pm at The Towers Campus in Upper Beeding (arrive at 9.45am)
Thursday 7th May 2026 10am to 1pm at The Rock Road Campus in Storrington (arrive at 9.45am)

On arrival the children will meet with some of our amazing Year 7 ambassadors who will talk about their own personal experience of being part of the SGS family. The ambassadors will then take them on a guided tour around the school site. The children will also take part in learning workshops, a fun team activity and enjoy lunch from our canteen.
At lunchtime students will eat together. You can opt for your child to have a hot lunch free of charge from the school canteen, however, your child may prefer to bring their own packed lunch. To help us with numbers there are some questions about this in the Google form (including dietary requirements). We ask that children wear their school uniform and bring a named water bottle. If the weather is particularly warm please ensure they have sunscreen applied and bring a hat as we will spend some time outdoors.
