Certificates – Important

Certificates of students leaving Steyning may be collected and signed for in person on the evening of Tuesday 1st December 2026, time TBC. Valid ID will be required.

Certificates not collected will be available to collect in person for one year only from the SGS Shooting Field Reception, only with valid student Photo ID, during normal school opening hours, 8.30am – 3.30pm. After Which they will be securely destroyed.

If you wish to cover the cost of postage of certificates, please supply the Exams Office / lshephard@sgs.uk.net with the appropriately valued prepaid shipping label or physical stamps to cover an A4 sized hard backed envelope up to 110g. We recommend purchasing tracking and a signed for service. SGS are not responsible for certificates once with the carrier of your choice.

Certificates are important documents and must be kept safe upon receipt for the rest of the student’s working life (this could be up until the age of 70). Many universities/employers etc. will ask to see them throughout the student’s academic/working life. It is the students’ responsibility to source and pay for copies, which is extremely costly.

What I have loved about my three years so far at SGS are the brilliant resources and facilities. For example, I really enjoy the library at shooting field, which has a range of books and ebooks (which I can read on my iPad at home and at school).
